It’s the American oven The Beekeeper (The Guardian), by David Ayer, who took the lead at the Quebec box office last weekend, according to the latest Cineac compilation.
The action film, which has received negative reviews since its release, took the top spot at the box office after its second week in theaters, grossing $191,063 for a total of $548,557. It is followed by the musical Mean Girls ($128,147), directed by Samantha Jayne and Arthuro Perez Jr. and from the romcom, Anyone But You ($126,648), by Will Gluck.
Wonka, Migration And Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are also part of the list with respective cumulative revenues of 3 million, 1.8 million and 2.5 million. The only Quebec film that clings to top 10, Ruadapted from the novel by Kim Thuy, arrives in 10e position with cumulative revenues of 1.7 million at its 9e week in the gym.
