(Calgary) Calgary Flames forward Dillon Dube has been granted an indefinite leave of absence to address his mental health, the team announced Sunday.
The 25-year-old British Columbian is being monitored by professionals, according to a press release published by the club.
Dube was not in the Flames’ lineup against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. The latter won 3-1.
The five-foot, 11-inch, 185-pound athlete was a second-round pick, No. 56e overall selection by the Flames in the 2016 National Hockey League draft.
He has three goals and seven points in 43 games this season.
