My NHL sports betting pick today is placed on the Florida Panthers by -1.5 goals as they host the Anaheim Ducks.
The Florida team is currently in great shape having won nine of their last 10 matches. Their nine-game winning streak ended Saturday night when the New Jersey Devils upset them 4-1 at their home ground at Amerant Bank.
Conversely, the Ducks have lost 9 of their last 11 games, including a 5-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.
Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has been impressive this season. He has a 21-10-1 record and an average of just 2.45 goals allowed per game. The Panthers could also play their backup goalie, Anthony Stolarz, this evening. His stats are equally impressive. Indeed, Stolarz has a record of 6-3-1 with a goals against average of 1.95.
The Panthers also enter this matchup with a seven-game winning streak against the Ducks, including their 2-1 win in California in November.
In my opinion, the Panthers are less likely to underestimate Anaheim, considering their loss last game. My money is on them to dismantle a much weaker opponent.
So let’s go with the Panthers.
