(Los Angeles) The biopic Oppenheimersigned Christopher Nolan, continued its harvest of international awards on Sunday by winning eight awards at the Critics Choice Awards, the French production Anatomy of a fall also being awarded.
The feature film about the father of the atomic bomb continued its crazy race towards the Oscars: awards for best film, best director for Nolan, best supporting role for Robert Downey Jr., in addition to best cinematography, best music, best editing, best visual effects and best cast.
Collecting his award, Christopher Nolan thanked the critics for “helping to convince audiences mainstream that a film about quantum physics and the apocalypse could be worth seeing.”
The French film Anatomy of a fall by Justine Triet confirmed its international success after the Golden Globes at the beginning of January by receiving the award for best film in a foreign language. The latest Palme d’Or, retracing the trial of a woman accused of having killed her husband, hopes to do well at the Oscars.

Emma Stone won Best Actress for her role as Bella in Poor Things.
The Critics Choice Awards also honored Emma Stone, elected best actress for her role as Bella in the black comedy Poor Things after the Golden Globes.
The same goes for Paul Giamatti among the actors, in Winter Break. He will notably be opposed for the Oscar to Cillian Murphy, who plays J. Robert Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan’s film.
The commercial phenomenon barbie leaves with the prizes for best comedy, best original screenplay, best song and best sets, costumes, hair and makeup.

The Critics Choice Awards are presented in Los Angeles by a college of approximately 600 members of the largest American film critics’ organizations.
