A 52-year-old man was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention on Monday, December 27, the Montauban prosecutor’s office said in a statement. He is suspected of having killed and beheaded a 31-year-old man, whose body was discovered by chance by a walker on Friday, December 24 on the edge of a departmental road in Albias, near Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne ).
While in police custody, the suspect confessed “killing his friend with stabs and kicks, and then dismembering him for the purpose of concealing the corpse”, specifies the parquet floor. The fifty-year-old was in a shared apartment with the victim.
“The facts would have occurred on December 23, around midnight, during an argument after an alcoholic evening”, a added the parquet. “The man, aged 52, from Reunion, single and unemployed, is known to the justice services for two old convictions relating to acts of sexual exhibition and death threats.”
