The Réseau express métropolitain (REM) is down in both directions Thursday morning. The service should resume at 7:45 a.m., indicates REM management on its website.
A “technical problem” was the cause of the outage which began around 5:20 a.m.
“There was a service outage following electrical work during the night. The teams are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible,” indicates Maxime Bordeleau, from the communications department, in an email exchange with The Press.
This is regular maintenance work. The bad weather of the last 48 hours is in no way related to this breakage.
