The implementation, from January 15, of a vaccination pass instead of the health step, has already been announced by the government. How will this new anti-Covid tool work? Who will be eligible? The text of the law must be examined Monday, December 17 in the Council of Ministers.
To go to the cinema, theater, café or restaurant, or when traveling by plane or train over a long distance, the vaccination pass should replace the health pass in mid-January. Concretely, this means that these places or these modes of transport will no longer be accessible to the unvaccinated. Another novelty, to fight against fraud, in case of doubt, the government wants those in charge of places of culture or catering to be able to check the identity of people who present their vaccination pass.
Presenting a fake pass should be punished with a fine of 1000 euros, instead of 135 currently. In addition, the government is studying the possibility of requiring, in addition to the vaccination pass, a recent negative test, to access certain places which stir up a lot of public, like what already exists in certain regions in Germany.
