The head of American diplomacy was alongside the president of the Palestinian Authority on Wednesday January 10. On the agenda of this meeting was the post-war issue in Gaza. The opportunity for Antony Blinken, traveling in the Middle East, to reaffirm to Mahmoud Abbas that the United States supports tangible steps toward the creation of a Palestinian state.
“All the partners I met during this trip said they were ready to support a lasting solution that ends the long cycle of violence and guarantees Israel’s security. But they stressed that this can only be done in the framework of a regional approach providing for the creation of a Palestinian state”said Antony Blinken the day before from Tel Aviv (Israel).
Central and southern Gaza now targeted
