Elisabeth Borne was the second Prime Minister in the history of the Fifth Republic. “We have the impression of a policy of fuse, it was not the biggest problem of the government (…) I do not expect much from this reshuffle”, deplores Marine Tondellier, national secretary of EELV. Gabriel Attal, the current Minister of Education, could replace Elisabeth Borne as Prime Minister, according to rumors. “We can clearly see that it is not really going in the direction desired by the ecologists (…) the ecologists are open (…) I do not feel that, whoever the Prime Minister is, things are being brought to change in the coming months (…) asking me this evening to be enthusiastic is asking a lot of myself”estimates Marine Tondellier.

“Much ado about not much”

In her resignation letter, Elisabeth Borne is delighted that France is “now equipped with ecological, complete and robust planning”. According to the national secretary of EELV, “It’s a lot of noise about not much (…) I don’t see the beginning of concrete translations of this big plan in the territories.”
