A total of 94 women were killed by their spouse or ex-spouse in 2023, the chancellery announced on Tuesday, January 2, confirming information from the Figaro. This is a non-definitive assessment. Last year, 113 femicides were recorded, during a provisional assessment, before it was finally revised upwards (118).

Centers specializing in domestic violence

Since Monday January 1, each of the 164 French courts and 36 courts of appeal have had a division specializing in domestic violence.
