Pascal Brice, the president of the Federation of Solidarity Actors was the guest of 8:30 a.m. franceinfo on Tuesday January 2, 2024. Poverty and government policy, National gathering and solidarity… He answered questions from Nicolas Teillard and Guillaume Daret.

Poverty: this government has “a temptation to put pressure on the most vulnerable”

“There is a pretty terrible gap between what we are experiencing in associations, everywhere in the country” and the words of Emmanuel Macron during his wishes on Sunday, points out Pascal Brice, president of the Federation of Solidarity Actors, on franceinfo Tuesday January 2, while the president evokes continuous action for 7 years.

There is a “increase in poverty with rising prices”. And even if it is “an ancient failure”there is with this government a “temptation to put pressure on the most vulnerable”. Pascal Brice also added that the immigration law was “a tipping point”creating even more poverty.

“The extreme right is antithetical to solidarity”

Pascal Brice, president of the Federation of Solidarity Actors, reacts in particular to the wishes of Marine Le Pen, president of the National Rally group in the National Assembly, where she promises to fight for “the improvement of [la] everyday life” the French.

However, according to Pascal Brice, “we can play all the trivializations we want, basically”for the National Rally “There are men and women who are not equal to others”. It even evokes, beyond “from the hatred of foreigners” by the extreme right, that “of all the poor”.
