The bad weather continues in 2024. Finistère, Pas-de-Calais, Manche, Orne, Mayenne, Sarthe, Loire-Atlantique, Vendée, Morbihan and the North are still placed on orange alert for “rain-flood”, Tuesday January 2. Furthermore, Finistère, Nord and Pas-de-Calais are also affected by orange vigilance for “floods”, specifies Météo-France.
“Marked precipitation” are expected “on the northern half of the country”details the forecasting institute. “The highest accumulations particularly concern the sectors already previously affected in Montreuillois as well as the heights of Boulonnais and Artois” in Pas-de-Calais. Furthermore, strong gusts of wind are expected in Finistère, “between 90 and 100 km/h inland (…) and 100/120 km/h along the coasts”.
