NHL | Kaprizov, Zibanejad and Kane are the stars of the week

(New York) Minnesota Wild winger Kirill Kaprizov, New York Rangers center Mika Zibanejad and Detroit Red Wings winger Patrick Kane were named the three stars of the last week in the NHL.

Kaprizov had four goals and three assists in four games, helping the Wild win three times.

He became the second player in team history to score the winning goal in overtime in two straight games, accomplishing the feat Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, then Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Zibanejad also accumulated seven points (four goals and three assists), helping the Rangers win two of their three games. He had his second multi-goal game of the campaign on Tuesday, in a 5-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 30-year-old veteran has collected at least one point in his last seven games. He scored seven goals and six assists during this stretch.

Kane led the NHL with eight points (four goals and four assists) in four games, but the Red Wings won just one of those games. He signed with the Red Wings on November 28 after having hip surgery during the off-season.
