In Paris, a huge role for PETiTOM

PETiTOM is the stage name of Tommy Tremblay. This 29-year-old Quebec dancer and singer is currently enjoying immense success in Paris. It’s because he landed the lead role in the musical Molière ! Yes, yes, it is indeed a Quebecer who plays the role of the most famous French theater author! How did all this happen to him? He tells us about his inspiring journey!

Psitt! Tommy chose PETiTOM as his nickname to remind himself that there is always something to learn, and that we never stop growing. You’ll see, he’s a curious person with a big heart!

Love at first sight for dance

As a child, PETiTOM was on the move: at seven years old, he delivered the newspaper The sunin Quebec, and he plays hockey.

Then, at eight years old, it was love at first sight. He takes his first break dancing class. “I’ve never stopped dancing since. I missed hockey games to go to my dance classes,” explains PETiTOM.

From dancer to singer

At 16, PETiTOM became known thanks to the television competition Mixmania2. In this show, two groups of teenage dancers and singers competed against each other. “That’s where I really learned to sing. It was stressful because I was on TV, but I gave it my all. »

For him, the adventure of Mixmania2 remains one of the most beautiful experiences of his life. But PETiTOM didn’t stop there! We then saw him at The voicehas Revolutionthen this spring at Zenith.

You shouldn’t be afraid of ridicule. You have to dare. If you take yourself too seriously, you cut yourself off from your creativity.

Then, drama!

In spring 2023, PETiTOM, who dreams of working in France, lands two small roles in the musical Molière, the musical show in Paris. When the actor who was to play the main role leaves the project, the role of Molière is offered… to PETiTOM. “That was unexpected! But it comes with discipline, sacrifices, a big workload. »

PETiTOM is present in almost every scene of the show, which is presented at least four times a week, each time in front of more than 2000 spectators. So, there’s no question of him getting sick!

In 2024, the show Molière goes on tour in Europe. Could he also stop in Quebec? “I am fighting body and soul to bring the show to Quebec! » assures PETiTOM.
