In Villetoureix near Ribérac for example, five soldiers from the brigade communities of Ribérac and Brantôme carried out checks on motorists returning home after Christmas dinner.

And the Perigord drivers were pretty reasonable. “Of the 25 vehicles checked, we found zero blood alcohol content, everything is perfect!” welcomes Major Eric Trichard, brigade community commander in Brantôme. Other checks will be carried out on the roads of Dordogne during New Year’s Eve.
