Alex Batty case: the British teenager found six years after his kidnapping – (FRANCE 2)
Missing for six years, Alex Batty was found by chance in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). Sunday December 17, the teenager was finally able to return to his grandmother in England.
Images show Alex Batty, all smiles, on July 29, in Montpellier (Hérault). The teenager, who has been missing for six years, came to enroll in a computer school. He claimed to have lost his identity documents, first introduced himself as Zac Edwards, before giving his real name. Strange actions which challenged the school directors. After some research, they discovered that it it was of a young British man, missing since 2017.
Police alerted by school management
The school administration then alerted the police. A few hours later, the school was contacted again, but the report came to nothing. Was there a failure on the part of the French authorities? For their part, the police claim to have done their job. It ultimately took a little over four months for the young man to be found, chance, in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). He was finally able to return to his grandmother’s house in England on Sunday December 17.
