Saturday December 16, 2023, Ève Gilles’ life changed in a fraction of a second. Among the 30 regional candidates selected to participate in the Miss France competition, the representative from Nord-Pas-de-Calais was the only one to win the coveted crown. A title of which she seems extremely proud and which marks the start of a year full of emotions.
During the ceremony, the charming brunette stood out with her beauty, charisma and elegance, impressing not only the members of the jury but also the more than 7 million viewers watching TF1. Upset by her election, the latter had difficulty expressing her thoughts. “I don’t feel like I’m Miss France, I don’t know where I am, I don’t know what’s happening to me, but it’s really an incredible moment. I don’t believe it not”, she confided to Jean-Pierre Foucault before he reassured her.

An exceptional event
Since the ceremony, Miss France 2024 has been on cloud nine. A few days ago, she discovered the Parisian apartment of beauty queens. But before leading the high life in the heart of the capital, the young woman is preparing to return to her native village to spend the holidays with her family. A “exceptional event” for Jean-Claude Dekeister, the mayor of Quaëdypre who intends to roll out the red carpet for the pretty brunette.
“I had to wait 74 years to have a Miss in my village. It never happened, I’m not sure it still happens so we will have the town’s guest book signed by Eve, by Miss France . This is an important event for us.”, he confided this Wednesday, December 20, 2023 to our colleagues at BFM TV Lille. And to conclude: “I believe that we will have people who will see where this Miss France 2024 who is superb comes from.” One thing is certain, it is that Jean-Claude Dekeister is proud of the new Miss!
