The custody of the final year student, educated in a private Catholic high school in Yvelines, in Chesnay, has been extended, franceinfo learned on Monday December 18 from the Versailles public prosecutor’s office. The teenager is interviewed by investigators for “death threats against a person responsible for a public service mission”, suspected of having threatened to kill one of his teachers.
The student, who will turn 17 in a few days, was arrested at his home on Sunday afternoon, a police source told franceinfo. He is accused of posting a threatening message against his mathematics teacher on Instagram late last week. In this message, the teenager claims to want “murder [son] math teacher“. He then criticizes his physique, his size, or even “her striped socks“. He attaches a photo of the teacher and also threatens those who intend to “snitch“, reporting this message to the police.
The teacher filed a complaint
Investigators are now trying to find out what motivated the student to post this message. According to our information, the boy could not stand it when his teacher recently took away his paper even though he had not finished his homework. In any case, that’s what he wrote in his message on Instagram.
The targeted teacher filed a complaint with the police, while specifying that he had never had any difficulty with this student. The investigation continues.
