If they support the Ukrainian army in its fight, the wives of soldiers signal their impatience and wish for the return of their husbands. Worried about no longer seeing them, they campaign for a rotation system within the army.
Demobilization and the return of soldiers home. This is what many Ukrainian women are demanding, whose lives were turned upside down at the same time as that of their husbands, who left to volunteer at the front from the first days of the war. On the signs, we can read messages from children, such as “I want to see my father again“, but also strong words like “prisoners“, “hostages” or “army slaves“.
A rotation system
When they signed two years ago, their spouses did not think it was a permanent contract. More and more of them are leading this rebellion and hoping to help their husbands, whose morale is deteriorating day by day. There is no question of demanding the surrender of Ukraine but they are campaigning for a system of rotation of soldiers. Today, Ukraine glorifies its fallen soldiers but no one is rushing to join the army anymore.
