A small virus had appeared within the France group in recent days, affecting several of its executives, but it was Friday evening fever which carried the Blues, Friday December 15. Olivier Krumbholz’s players made short work of Sweden in the semi-finals of the World Cup (37-28). Brilliant defensively and inspired offensively, the French gave their opponents a headache and won their ticket to the final on Sunday against Norway. They will aim for a third world title after 2003 and 2017.
