This Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Sylvie Tellier was invited to the Buzz TV set. The former Miss France clarified a rumor that was circulating. Was she approached to be director of the Star Academy?
“I was extremely touched that I was thought of for this type of program because I was elected Miss France in 2001, it was the first year of Star Ac’ and it was Jenifer who won this show that I followed with great pleasure” she confided before adding: “Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m expected to be the director of the Star Academy. I was extremely proud to be thought of, but that’s not part of my immediate plans. Not at all. But I am convinced that they will have a director who will be fabulous in this exercise.”.
If Sylvie Tellier was not interested in taking up Michaël Goldmann’s position, there is, however, another position on TF1, which appeals to her. It’s that of Jean-Pierre Foucault! Asked whether or not she wanted to present the Miss France show one day, the former director of the committee admitted that she would not be against it.
“I have already done it alongside Jean-Pierre, I co-presented with him. I’m lucky to know the mechanics by heart. I love this program. So obviously, if tomorrow the boss of TF1 asks me this nice question, I will say yes with great pleasure. It’s Alexia Laroche-Joubert who will decide (boss of Banijay France which produces Miss France, Editor’s note.)” she declared.
And added: “But yes, I could very well see myself presenting this show while still being aware that it is a huge barnumshe wants to emphasize. I think there are very few three-hour live shows. We don’t take into account Jean-Pierre’s job in this regard, to stay in his place as host, to not take sides, to have the right tone, to manage hazards, we have seen this for years, with file problems. Jean-Pierre does the job very, very well. He didn’t leave, did he? Don’t let him go too soon! “
