Russian attack on kyiv leaves at least 50 injured

The military administration of the Ukrainian capital reported 51 injured, including six children. This is the second attack on kyiv in the space of a week.

New attack on kyiv. The Ukrainian capital was the target of Russian missile fire which left at least 51 people injured, including six children, on Wednesday December 13. “All received treatment”, declared Serhiï Popko, head of the city’s military administration. For the moment, no deaths have been announced.

“Around ten cases of falling debris” projectiles were recorded, said Serhiï Popko, and particularly affected the Desnyansky district where 17 residents, including seven children, were evacuated from a burning building. The Ukrainian Air Force counted 10 Russian missiles shot down.

According to kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a “apartment building was damaged” in the Dniprovsky district, leading to the evacuation of “15 residents, including four children and two disabled people”. “A missile fell on the territory of one of the capital’s hospitals”he declared later, giving the toll of one injured.

This is the second attack on kyiv in the space of a week. Early Monday, eight Russian missiles flying toward the capital were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses. Four people were treated by emergency services.
