The meteoric spread of the Omicron variant has exploded requests for disinfection at Qualinet, which on Friday announced the creation of 938 new jobs across the province.

As Christmas is upon us, the President and CEO of Qualinet, Éric Pichette, said in a press release that his group is facing an unprecedented challenge with the spread of the new variant of COVID-19. The company, which specializes in the disinfection and sanitation of buildings, receives a record demand to intervene in facilities considered essential.
“If you are free for the holidays, and even for the year 2022, and you are wondering how to help Quebec fight COVID, contact Qualinet. In nearly 30 years of history, our group has never experienced such a demand, ”said Mr. Pichette, adding that he needed a workforce specialized in disinfection to protect vulnerable people. “Qualinet needs you. We will train you, ”he said.
Specialists in epidemics
Qualinet was involved in the past, during the epidemics of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and influenza A (H1N1) in 2003 and 2009. At the time, the company was responsible for decontamination of hospitals, CLSCs and medical clinics.
