Since the death of Johnny Hallyday in December 2017, the Hallyday clan has literally been split in two. On the one hand his widow Laeticia Hallyday and his two daughters Jade and Joy, on the other hand, the rocker’s eldest children, namely David Hallyday and Laura Smet. As everyone knows, it is a sad matter of war over inheritance which has divided this family, which has already been weakened for years.
Very young at the time of the death of their famous dad, Jade and Joy have grown up and are now 19 and 15 years old. For the first time, they decided to speak out to express their feelings about the fact that they no longer have contact with their brothers and sisters. This Sunday, December 10, they answered questions from journalist Audrey Crespo Mara on the set of the show Seven to Eight on TF1.
“I experienced it quite badly. Because I took it as a betrayal in fact. An abandonment.” Joy said. “Another abandonment. A betrayal of our own family” Jade added. Together, they then explain: “In Saint Barth, when we buried Dad, they made us promises that they would always be there for us, that we would see each other regularly. We had this conversation and they promised that we would see each other often. And then when they left Saint-Barth we didn’t see them anymore, we didn’t have contact with them anymore.”.

Sad and angry, they continue: “They said horrible things about our mother. Lies. They created stories about us, about our mother. Very, very painful things. It’s hard when it comes from our own family when they are supposed to be our half-brother and half-sister. It’s sad because after dad left we could have had this bond even stronger…”.
At the end of the interview, the two young girls also spoke about the derogatory and racist comments they receive daily on social networks before then talking about their adoptive parents.
