the technicians refuse to continue filming

In less than a month now, TF1 will relaunch the series More beautiful life, abruptly stopped by France 3 on November 18, 2022 after eighteen years of broadcast. The new season will be scheduled from Monday January 8, 2024 from 1:50 p.m., after each 1 p.m. news from Marie-Sophie Lacarrau. This same day, TF1 will also launch its morning show Good morning, orchestrated by Bruce Toussaint and who will be accompanied every day by six columnists, including Christophe Beaugrand, Ange Noiret, Karima Charni, Anaïs Grangerac and Hélène Mannarino. But fans of Plus belle la vie have reason to be worried: although filming resumed almost two months ago, the technicians suddenly went on strike a few days ago, and demand to see their salaries increased, under penalty of penalizing the return of the series.

Indeed, as revealed by Provencethe filming of More beautiful life, from Allauch and Marseille, have been interrupted since December 6, 2023. The technicians unanimously voted to strike, and thus joined a national movement launched in mid-November by the Union of Professionals in the Audiovisual and Cinema Industries CGT ( SPIAC-CGT), and which demands that the salaries of technicians be increased. This movement does not only impact More beautiful lifesince the serials Tomorrow belongs to us And Here it all begins are also affected, as Léo Mattéï with Jean-Luc Reichmann and HPI with Audrey Fleurot, who have been filming for several weeks.

A return that should be maintained

However, the striking technicians wanted to reassure fans of More beautiful lifewho will return to their series on January 8, 2024 on TF1, as planned: “The end of the series had hurt many people who found themselves out of work. Some were reintegrated into the new film crews and we did not want to put these people in danger. This is why the entry on strike came late, compared to the teams mobilized for three weeks.” The technicians of More beautiful life so waited a few weeks before exercising their right to strikein order not to impact the return of the series, which will be marked by the painful disappearances of Michel Cordes and Marwan Berreni.
