The 37th edition of the Telethon began Friday evening on France 2 in partnership with Radio France. Last year, nearly 91 million euros were raised for research into rare diseases.

“I expect strong mobilization, I know that the French are mobilized and generous”, declared Friday December 8 on franceinfo Fadila Khattabi, Minister Delegate in charge of People with Disabilities, while the 37th edition of the Telethon started in the evening Friday on France 2 in partnership with Radio France. The objective is to exceed last year’s donations which were 90.8 million euros.
“There are 200 000 volunteers who will be fully mobilized to support all operations at the national level”. It is important to mobilize “to support research and families who have a child with a disability. It’s a very great operation and I know that the French will be fully mobilized”insisted the Minister Delegate.
Fadila Khattabi participated in many activities on the ground today and was able to see “how enthusiastic the volunteers were at the idea of being able to be useful, committed, to be able to support people on these operations”.
On the immigration bill
“I am for article 3”repeated Friday, December 8 on franceinfo Fadila Khattabi, Minister Delegate in charge of People with Disabilities, while the immigration bill will be examined from this Monday, December 11 in a public session at the National Assembly. “We must get away from hypocrisy”, she added.
“In our territory, companies everywhere need skills and recruits. People who will benefit from a residence permit because they are in a job in shortage are not disposable Kleenex. From the moment where we work, where we respect the laws of the Republic, we have the right to stay on national territory and have a life plan in France”.
