New Russian bombings left two dead and seven injured in Ukraine on the night of Thursday December 7 to Friday December 8, local authorities announced. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that it had shot down 14 cruise missiles out of a total of 19 launched by Russia.
The projectiles targeted civilian infrastructure and were shot down over the regions of kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk (center). But several missiles passed through the anti-aircraft defense, hitting infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region and leaving one dead and four injured, two of whom were serious, the regional governor said on Telegram. Prime Minister Denys Chmygal said that one person had been killed in the Kharkiv region, and three others injured.
Russia carries out missile and drone strikes almost every night. Ukraine, strengthened by the Western military aid received, is destroying the majority of these devices, but it is demanding more resources to be able to hold out for the months to come, and the support of American and European allies is becoming more and more limited.
