Children have decided to spontaneously prepare gifts which are then distributed to the most disadvantaged by the Red Cross. A small gesture that brings a lot of comfort to those who need it the most.
Volunteers loaded with gifts roam the streets of Val-de-Marne, aboard a van that looks like Santa’s hood, for somewhat special marauding. A distribution of gifts to the homeless to bring the Christmas spirit to the edge of the highway. These homemade gifts are prepared that day by children, four friends from the same college, who see the misery around them and have decided to take action. “What motivates me is because we see them outside, in the street, they are cold, they are hungry, it makes me sad, I would like to help them“, explains Gabin Lacoste, 13 years old.
In their boxes are useful products: warm clothing, a hygiene product, and more festive things, also with a more personal message. The four friends immediately pass the baton to the volunteers of the Red Cross in Créteil. A shared human warmth, relayed throughout France by numerous associations. At the Red Cross, the operation will last until January 8.
