In 2024, Michel Drucker will celebrate his 60th career. He, who celebrated his 81st birthday on September 12, 2023, is still essential on France Télévisions. Recently, his cult show, “Vivement Dimanche” switched from France 2 to France 3. And to his loyal, and often elderly, audience, the host made a beautiful statement on December 3, 2023.
“I will go to the nursing homes“
While this week he received Franck Dubosc and Emmanuelle Devos, who came to promote “Merry Christmas”which will be released on our screens on December 6, 2023, Michel Drucker revealed the gift he wanted to give them… At the first, he explained: “Do you know what I want to do when I do more television? I will go to nursing homes“. And to add: “I will go and talk to those who have followed me all these years. I’ll go tell them about TV and I’ll go read to them“
Opposite, Elie Semoun’s sidekick replied: “You know that would be good. You go into a nursing home, it’s a riot!” And Michel Drucker assumes, while indicating: “I have already done it. During confinement I spoke to retirement homes, there are 7,500 in France, it was: ‘Stop isolation’. So I made 2/3 short videos, like that, it was such a success that I did that throughout confinement.”
Closing the loop before retirement
While waiting for the day of his retirement, Michel Drucker must host a sports program next summer on public service channels, just to close the loop. In his early days, the young journalist who had just arrived in Paris specialized for a time in sport. A choice that his father, Abraham, did not approve of, but that Michel Drucker pursued, then moving towards entertainment shows. The rest, everyone knows.
