More and more people test positive to Covid-19 in France Thursday 23 December. They will therefore have to spend Christmas Eve alone, isolated from their loved ones.

He dreamed of spending the end of the year holidays with his family. Sadly, tested positive to Covid-19, Antoine Beis will have to spend Christmas alone this year, at his home in Viroflay (Yvelines). Yet he had already planned everything, the gifts were bought but he will not be able to offer them in time. “Being away from your loved ones when you wanted to find them, morally it’s not nice”, he says.

In Vitry-sur-Seine (Val de Marne), Anaïs, six, and Romain, three, will have to spend Christmas Eve without their father, Matthieu Roudil. He will be confined to his room. Back in her nursery at Nonette (Puy de Dome), Tristan will spend Christmas in isolation after being infected during a weekend in Annecy (Haute-Savoie). His parents will not be present at home family but they have planned everything by bringing shopping to their son so that he can be independent. “I comfort myself by telling myself that normally, I will be out for the New Year”, he explains.
