The new Disney film “Wish, Asha and the Lucky Star”, directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn, combines adventures, magical landscapes and a kind heroine who wants to make the wishes of the people she loves come true.
As at the end of every year, the Disney magic has struck again, this time with “Wish, Asha and the Lucky Star”, directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn. The film combines adventures, magical landscapes and a kind heroine, Asha, who wants to make the wishes of the people she loves come true. Lambert Wilson plays the villain of the film. “For 45 years I have tended to play the bad guys (…) it’s an actor’s jubilation. We have very different things to play.”explains the actor.
Believe in one’s dreams
The casting of French voices has some surprises in store with Gérard Darmon who must play a kid. “Wish” combines humor and a recurring theme at Disney: the lucky star that we wish for. This idea appeared in “Pinocchio” in 1940, but was taken up again in the “Lion King” or “Peter Pan”. “Wish” is a tribute to Walt Disney Studios, founded 100 years ago. The message has not changed in 100 years: believe in your dreams.
