On Saturday December 16, 2023 at the Zénith de Dijon, for the election of Miss France 2024, Sylvie Tellier will have around her a 100% female jury, to choose which of the 30 regional Misses will be able to access the crown. This December 1, Le Parisien announces that the former boss has recruited Stefi Celma, Adriana Karembeu, Nina Metayer, Estelle Mossely, Elodie Poux and Nolwenn Leroy.
“I don’t see myself judging girls…”
And the latter, a singer, has just created a surprise. Indeed, 12 years ago, for the election of Miss France 2012 (Delphine Wespiser), Marin’s mother explained that she had become angry with the committee, and had finally declined the invitation. Contacted to participate in the evening presented by Jean-Pierre Foucault, the winner of Star Academy had estimated, in the columns of Le Parisien: “When I accepted, I asked if it was just to sing and not to be part of the jury. I was assured that it was just for singing. Anyway, as a woman, I don’t see myself judging girls on primarily physical criteria. It’s not my thing”explained Nolwenn Leroy to the Parisian.
And to add: “The tone changed and it was: ‘If you’re not on the jury, you’re not coming to sing.’ What are these ways of doing things? What I can’t stand is the lack of elegance of canceling at the last moment and now talking nonsense while claiming that I’m doing my diva”.
This is Nolwenn’s second participation on the jury
A few years later, in 2017, it was Nolwenn Leroy’s tone that had changed. The evening of Maëva Coucke’s election, she did the job, alongside Iris Mittenaere, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Agustin Galiana, Anne Roumanoff, Lorie, and Vincent Clerc.
