Singer Corneliu, who had been under arrest warrant since November 24, was arrested Wednesday evening in Laval.

The man, who faces two counts of having drugged two victims without their knowledge, was apprehended as part of a concerted action by the sexual assault section of the SPVM and agents of the Azimut squad of Laval police department.
Since the arrest warrant was filed, several steps by investigators from the sexual assault section had been taken to locate the suspect in recent days.
It was ultimately a vigilant citizen who contacted 911 Wednesday evening to report the presence of the singer in an apartment in Laval.
The individual collaborated in his arrest and was taken to the SPVM northern detention center.
He is due to appear Thursday afternoon at the Montreal courthouse.
