Ten Israeli and four Thai hostages have been released by Hamas, announces the Israeli army, citing information from the Red Cross

Hamas released a sixth group of Israeli hostages to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Wednesday, November 29, as part of an agreement with Israel. Fourteen hostages, ten Israelis and four Thais, held since October 7 by Hamas, were released in the evening, the Israeli army announced on Telegram, based on information provided by the Red Cross. The fourteen hostages are on their way to Israeli territory, specifies the Israeli Prime Minister’s office. Two dual-national Russian and Israeli women, held hostage in the Gaza Strip by Hamas, were released earlier in the day.

The ten Israeli hostages were released as part of the humanitarian pause agreement and 30 Palestinians, including 16 minors and 14 women, will be released by Israel in exchange for their release. The two Russian hostages and the four Thais were released by Hamas outside the agreement, said the spokesperson for the Qatar Foreign Ministry.

Every evening since Friday, around ten Israeli hostages, all women and children held in the Gaza Strip, have been released by the Palestinian Islamist movement. In return, three times as many Palestinian prisoners, including women and young people under the age of 19, are released from Israeli prisons.
