He was one of the 10 most wanted cyber pedophiles in the world. Mathieu D.’s trial opens on Wednesday November 29 before the Gironde Assize Court. Based in Frontenac (Gironde), the man was the village roadman. He was arrested on July 7, 2020, to the surprise of everyone who knew him. Married and father of a family, he ran a vast pedophile network on the darknet. He even reportedly featured his two daughters in videos. He will also be tried for incestuous rape.
The fruit of a long work of international collaboration
The children’s mother expects a lot from this trial. She filed a civil suit. “It’s important for her that she can hear him tell his truth, what happened to him, what happened, because she knew about ‘a man who did not pose any difficulties, whom she did not suspect of being able to commit such acts’, indicates Me Rémi Legigan, lawyer for the mother. The arrest of this man was made possible by a long period of international collaboration between France, Australia, the FBI and Interpol. While in police custody, Mathieu D. admitted the facts, and claimed to have himself been raped during his childhood.
