This Friday December 24 at 9:00 p.m. and this Saturday December 25 at 4:00 p.m., France Bleu Breizh Izel offers the broadcast of the concert “Christmas in Brittany” recorded by its technical team on December 17, 2021 at Quimper Cathedral, presented by Clément Soubigou
This concert, which stems from the album of the same name, which has just been released, brought together on Friday, December 17 at the cathedral of Quimper Denez, Annie Ebrel, Rosemary Standley, Aziliz Manrow and Quentin Morvan. On the album also participate Mathieu Hamon, Piala Louis and Jérémy Kerno.
In French and Breton, even in English, they performed Brittany Christmas carols, hymns and other shepherd songs, in front of 600 spectators (sold-out concert) and the cameras.
We discovered a bewitching Quentin Morvan, used to other repertoires. Rosemary Standley and Aziliz Manrow delighted the audience with their bewitching stamps. Denez made a new demonstration of his art, with his a cappella incantations and a duet with Aziliz on “An hini a garan” and Annie Ebrel made the public want to dance, before singing all together “When comes the Christmas Day ”by Quebecer Mary Travers, known as La Bolduc, in a cabaret atmosphere. Then sounded the organ of the cathedral, played by Hervé Lesvenan, and the bombards of Bagad Kemper, for a final breathtaking bouquet, the spectators having been invited to give voice too. A magical and unifying moment that won over the spectators, happy to be able to exchange a few words with the artists when they left the stage.
