The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) is investigating shots fired Saturday in the middle of the evening towards a residence on Dumfries Road, in the Ville Mont-Royal borough.
According to agent Véronique Dubuc, media relations officer at the SPVM, the shots were fired around 9:20 p.m. The emergency services quickly received several reports that detonations had been heard in the area of Chemin Dumfries , near Melbourne Street.
On site, the police located projectile impacts on the facade of a residence.
“There are no injuries and no suspects have yet been apprehended in this case,” said Mr.me Dubuc.
According to initial information collected by the police, one or more suspects fired before fleeing on foot.
A security perimeter was erected in the neighborhood to protect the crime scene. A dog handler is on hand to comb the area in hopes of collecting evidence.
