The boss of the company responsible for producing Taylor Swift’s tour in Brazil apologized Thursday for the problems in organizing a concert by the American star in Rio de Janeiro, marked by the death of a fan in the middle of a heatwave.
“We recognize that we could have taken additional measures, such as installing shaded areas outside [du stade où a eu lieu le concert] or changing the concert schedule,” said Serafim Abreu, CEO of the company Time For Fun, in a video posted on Instagram.

Many fans complained about the ban on bringing bottled water, while the temperature felt around 60 degrees last Friday in Rio, the day of Taylor Swift’s first concert.
A 23-year-old young woman died during this concert. Time For Fun explained that she was “quickly attended to” and that the medical team “chose to transfer her to the hospital after about an hour of emergency treatment.”

“We know that with climate change, these episodes will be more and more frequent. We are aware that our entire sector must rethink the way it operates in the face of this new reality,” declared Mr. Abreu, presenting his “most sincere feelings” to the family of the deceased young woman.
The world tour Eras Tour of superstar Taylor Swift continues this week in Brazil, with concerts Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Sao Paulo, the largest metropolis in Latin America.
