As much emotion as in Love is in the meadow ? It seems impossible. And yet, through his report entitled Peasant families, 100 years of history, Karine Le Marchand
promises us a lot of emotions. In fact, the host wanted to highlight this profession which is so difficult to practice and which she knows almost like the back of her hand. After having met a number of farmers throughout the seasons of Love is in the meadow
she was indeed able to learn a lot from this profession.
This is why, on November 27, 2023, the host will broadcast her documentary, which earned her a decoration from the Minister of Agriculture Marc Fresneau. It will be the bridge between archive images and the testimonies of six farming families. “This documentary allows us to remember the major developments in the agricultural world, and above all to understand why farmers have an essential role in our country, and where their unhappiness comes from. We move away from the cliché of the backward polluting farmer, when we understand how history has made them pawns over the past 100 years and how great their dismay is today”she explains through a press release.

Laurent, present in the documentary by Karine Le Marchand, his terrible confidence
Karine Le Marchand also states that “viewers will realize that this profession of yesteryear has, despite itself, undergone a radical revolution in just a few years.” “The farmers became farmers then operators. To survive today, they had to go backwards, diversify their activities, some by switching to organic, others by bypassing purchasing centers or even by favoring quality over quantity”, she adds. Among the farmers invited to testify, Laurent, candidate for season 19.
