A chicken in space
Kentucky, an insomniac hen living on the Moon, learns that animals fall asleep during total eclipses. Is this a path to explore to finally find sleep? With the help of the JOS robot, the poultry sets off in search of the perfect eclipse. Original production from the Planetarium, Total eclipse: in search of lost sleep is aimed at curious people aged 7 and over who wish to learn more about this astral phenomenon. A new, slightly crazy immersive show.

Hip-hop in all its diversity

For Qcltur’s third Love & hip-hop evening, which will take place this Thursday, November 23 at Ausgang Plaza, four artists with very different offerings will perform 30-minute concerts. Congolese Ya Cetidon, who we saw with Loud at the Francos last summer, will combine rap, afrobeat and R&B in his energetic performances. Le Ice, who will soon release an EP with Salgrimo, will offer his authentic rap. Scourge Dicaprio, who recently released the album Dog Eaten Dog, will throw his crude and comical rhymes to the gathered crowd. Finally, Naomi will demonstrate her many talents, singing to festive Caribbean tunes and dancing professionally.

This solo show born from a crossbreeding between the worlds of choreographer Mélanie Demers and playwright (and performer) Angélique Willkie arrives at Usine C after a tour which earned much praise. For this physical and emotional exposure, the two creators surrounded themselves with an all-female team, including Frannie Holder on music and Elen Ewing on costumes. A show which was rewarded at the last Prix de la danse de Montréal both as best choreographic work of the 2021-2022 season and for the interpretation of Angélique Willkie.

Disney films in concert cinema
Véronique Claveau, Marc-André Fortin, Sarah-Maude Desgagné and Philippe Touzel (all former participants of Star Academy or The voice) unite their talent in a film concert that will bring back memories to young and old children. Thanks to projections on a giant screen, spectators will relive certain Disney classics, including the Lion King, The beauty and the Beast, The little Mermaid And Snow Queen, through symphonic versions of the songs. The four singers will be accompanied by the Quebec Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Alexandre Da Costa, in a production by Joël Legendre.
Disney in Concert – A Dream is a Wishat the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts, from Friday to Sunday.

Not really rappers, not just poets, slammers have their own ways of making the language sound and resonate. Two dozen of these carefully chosen acrobats of the verb constitute the heart of the programming of the Great poetry slam 2023, held until November 26 and which also includes musical guests. The semi-finals of the Quebec Slam League take place on November 24 and 25 at the Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée, while the finals (solo and collective) will take place on the 26th at La Tulipe. Ivy, a great bearer of this art of speaking, will be on several evenings as a host or slammer.

Will be present at The great excessfrom 7:30 p.m. at Espace 8: Barbada, Chantal Cadieux, Simon Boulerice, Eugénie Lépine-Blondeau, Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay, among others. An opportunity to combine business with pleasure for a good cause: the sustainability of the mission of the organization, which, as we know, experienced significant financial difficulties this year. Threatened with closure, the night helpline ultimately benefited from $930,000 in aid over three years.
