46th Montreal Book Fair | To discover on the youth side

Despite the teachers’ strike, the Montreal Book Fair, which begins Wednesday, is ready to welcome children and adolescents with its rich and varied youth programming. During the week, entry will be free for children under 16 and their companion Overview of six activities designed especially for them.




Meeting the actors of First trio

The hockey players – and the hockey player – from the series of children’s novels First trio came to life on the small screen this year on ICI Télé. Actors Constance Munger, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Mathieu Drouin and Iani Bédard will participate in a round table with author Nadia Lakhdari, who has just launched the 6e volume of the series. How did the actors prepare for filming? What are the challenges when adapting a book for television? Here are some topics that will be covered during the discussion which will also include diver and Olympic medalist Roseline Filion.

The creators of Loup and P’tit Loup will be visiting the Montreal Book Fair.

With more than 1 million copies of their books sold in Quebec, the characters of Loup and P’tit Loup have won over many toddlers in the last decade. Their creators, the French Orianne Lallemand and Eléonore Thuillier, are, for the first time, visiting the Montreal Book Fair together. For the occasion, they will present a special reading during which Eléonore Thuillier will draw live the story told by Orianne Lallemand. Loup and P’tit Loup will also make a few appearances throughout the Show.

Discussion on social networks with Frigiel and Carine Paquin

French YouTuber who has gained nearly 2 million subscribers thanks to his content on Minecraft and other video games, Frigiel will be present at the Show to talk about his journey as an influencer, but also as an author. With the very prolific writer Carine Paquin, they will discuss literature, social networks and, of course, video games, all punctuated by funny challenges. An activity designed for ages 10 and over, who will be able to see the impact of influencers on literature.
