An evacuation of the al-Shifa hospital, in the Gaza Strip, was requested by the Israeli army which suspects Hamas of having established an operational center there.
The al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip was evacuated on the morning of Saturday, November 18. The Israeli army is carrying out a new operation there, suspecting the medical center of housing a Hamas HQ. According to doctors and journalists present in the hospital, the IDF gave the civilians one hour to leave the premises.
450 patients were unable to leave the hospital
Information denied by the Israeli army, which says it organized this evacuation following a request from the hospital director. 2,300 people were in al-Shifa according to the United Nations. But some patients cannot be moved at the moment. There would remain nearly 450 sick or injured people in the establishment.
