The Horizons party met by videoconference at 9 a.m., Saturday November 18, to discuss the accusation against Horizons senator from Loire-Atlantique Joël Guerriau. Suspected of having drugged MP Sandrine Josso, the 66-year-old man was indicted on Friday. The thirty members, under the presidency of Edouard Philippe, decided unanimously to suspend the senator and to initiate a disciplinary procedure which could lead to the permanent exclusion of the senator. “There has not been a shadow of a doubt or a shadow of a debate on the implementation of this sanction and this procedure“, assures the mayor of Saint-Germain-en-Laye Arnaud Péricard, guest of franceinfo.
“Unacceptable behavior”
“This act strongly contravenes the values and principles that we defend. We very legitimately and naturally took this sanction measure“, adds the Horizons member. “Faced with unacceptable behavior, you must not have a trembling hand. We don’t have it had“, he concludes.
