The film vikingby Stéphane Lafleur, dominates the nominations of the 25e edition of the Gala Québec Cinéma, the finalists of which were revealed this Tuesday.
The comedy-drama is competing in 18 categories, including best film, best direction and best screenplay. Its main actors, Steve Laplante and Larissa Corriveau, are both nominated for an acting award.
Movies Baby sitterby Monia Chokri, The red roomsby Pascal Plante, and The plungerby Francis Leclerc, also do well with 14, 13 and 12 nominations respectively.
In all, 47 films will share the Iris awards in 30 categories.
To highlight his impressive career which spans more than 50 years, actor Rémy Girard will be awarded the Tribute Iris.
Led by Jay du Temple, the Gala Québec Cinéma will be broadcast on Sunday, December 10, at 8 p.m., on Noovo. The Artisans Gala, hosted by Fabiola Nyrva Aladin, will take place on December 7, at 7:30 p.m., at Studio TD.
