Monday, November 13, the day after the march against anti-Semitism, Renaissance MP Christopher Weissberg states: “I found it to be a very moving moment which precisely avoided falling into political traps. (…) Personally, I went without a scarf, because I wanted to really show that it was something very spontaneous. I found that the crowd was equal to the anguish that [ressentent] our fellow Jews.”
Addressing young people
Emmanuel Macron received representatives of religions Monday afternoon. The head of state asked them to address young people. The parliamentarian asks: “There is a very political position taken in a conflict which is external. I think it is also linked to the way we consume social networks today with a propaganda war. (…) We need to be able to address [aux jeunes]. Do many young people identify with the cult and religious approach? I’m not entirely sure.” Christopher Weissberg insists: “Let’s not import an external conflict into our home. It would be a collective defeat.”
