A 38-year-old French woman who risked her life to try to recover her cell phone which she had just dropped in a pool very late last Friday was saved after 30 minutes in freezing water, thanks to witnesses.
Last Friday around 11 p.m., the police at the port of Fécamp, a town in the north of France, were called in the middle of the night after a woman fell into the Bérigny basin while trying to retrieve her cell phone which had fallen there, reported “ France 3” Monday.
Fortunately for her, passers-by who were walking by would have witnessed the scene, and would have been able to locate her, clinging to a mooring between two pontoons, thanks to the light of their flashlight, continued the French media.
The thirty-year-old then had water up to her neck, according to what the police force would have indicated.
It was only after around thirty minutes that the 38-year-old woman was finally able to be extricated from the water, frozen and in a state of hypothermia, to the point of having difficulty speaking, according to local media.
Wrapped in a survival blanket, she was transported to a hospital, where she herself confided the reasons for her fall to the authorities.
