Production and trafficking of methamphetamine | Around ten suspects arrested

More than a year of investigation and three phases of searches later, investigators from the North Shore Regional Mixed Squad (ERM) have been arresting around ten individuals suspected of being involved in a methamphetamine production and trafficking network.


These arrests are the culmination of searches carried out, among others, in Saint-Michel-de-Napierville, Saint-Lin-Laurentides, Saint-Jérôme and Montreal, a year ago and last August.

During this latest search, the sleuths dismantled a production and encapsulation laboratory in Saint-Lin-Laurentides where they notably found 500,000 methamphetamine tablets, 40 kilograms of crystal meth10 kilograms of methamphetamine, 880 kilograms of cellulose (precursor), 10 liters of GHB, almost $28,000 in Canadian money, a money counting machine and production equipment, including tablet presses and 400 punches .

During the two previous searches, carried out on November 18 and December 14, 2022, investigators seized a total of 290,000 methamphetamine tablets and 870 kilograms of powdered products.

The individuals arrested Wednesday morning will be charged in the afternoon with possession of methamphetamine and other substances for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in methamphetamine and other substances, production of methamphetamine, conspiracy and even gangsterism, for two of them.

The SQ must publish a report on the operation later Wednesday.
