(Milan) Serie A champions Inter Milan saw their offices raided by the finance police on Tuesday as part of the ongoing investigation into account fraud.
Authorities raided Juventus offices in Turin last month to gather information on player transfers and relations with agents between 2019 and this year. Inter have said the documents requested of them relate to the sale of players in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
“The request was made by the Milan Attorney General’s office to verify that the capital gains concerned were correctly recorded in the accounts,” Inter said in a statement. The club’s financial statements have been drawn up in accordance with the most rigorous accounting principles. ”

The survey focuses on overvalued ratings that allow players to move from club to club for officially more than their true worth. These overvaluations constitute a form of accounting fraud.
