one man kills three people

It is 9:30 a.m., Saturday October 28, when the gendarmes attack Reunion Island. 80 soldiers from the gendarmerie and GIGN, as well as around thirty firefighters, are mobilized at Crédit Agricole de la Possession. After exchanges of fire with the police, the suspect was slightly injured. A maintenance worker taken hostage dies.

The drama began this morning, when the murderer fatally stabbed his mother, as well as his six-year-old niece. The impressive scene shocked local residents. “It’s shocking, it’s a tragedy for the family (…) nothing justifies such behavior, apart from madness”, specifies a local resident. The alleged perpetrator was taken into police custody. An investigation into murder has been opened.
