Cyril Hanouna responds to those who call for a boycott of “TPMP”

For several days, several Internet users have been calling on social networks for a boycott of the show “Touche pas à mon poste”. Some believe that host Cyril Hanouna would have shown hypocrisy by launching several calls for peace between Jews and Muslims, while the climate is tense on a global scale after the new attacks in Israel and Palestine since the start of the month.

This Thursday, October 26, 2023, Cyril Hanouna responded to criticism: “It’s good that we’re talking about it, I saw something on social networks like ‘boycott TPMP’… I’m going to stop you right away, stop fudging the figures, we’re here until 2026 so for those who want to watch, thank you for being so many and thank you for all the positive messages and those who don’t want to watch, we completely understand, we don’t blame them, there are plenty of other programs very good!” he said.

Cyril Hanouna makes a scathing clarification
The host makes a direct reference to certain messages relayed on social networks, ensuring that the call to boycott the show would have worked because the program would have lost 700,000 viewers in a few days, thus falling back below the one million mark. “TPMP has had a historic return to school, it’s thanks to you, there is no debate about it”.

Cyril Hanouna then returned to a sequence during which, a few days ago, he reframed Gilles Verdez with firmness. Which then generated a wave of negative reactions on social networks. “Gilles and I have disagreed for ten years, I think we had agreed but we still talk to each other, we are for dialogue. (…) If tomorrow, I a problem, it’s Gilles who will be there to come and help me and I will always be there for him. He knows that he can count on me, he knows that I can count on him!” he assured before concluding: “Until 2026, Gilles Verdez will never be fired!”.
